The near future
To talk about what you are going to do, French uses aller (in the present) + an infinitive, exactly like English "going to". Je vais visiter Paris = I am going to visit Paris. First learn aller: je vais, tu vas, il va, nous allons, vous allez, ils vont.

The pattern is fixed: aller (conjugated) + infinitive (unchanged). Nous allons manger, ils vont partir. To make it negative, wrap only the aller part: Je ne vais pas sortir. Add a time marker for clarity: demain, ce week-end, bientôt.
